‘You promised this would never happen….YOU PROMISED….’ Jenny screamed in dismay.
Her angelic blue eyes stared longingly at the man before her, with tears as beautiful as crystals falling occasionally onto her face. Thoughts of shame ran through jenny’s head, she knew she looked desperate. But this wouldn’t stop her begging to keep the only thing she ever really loved. As she whimpered and pleaded, she tried to gauge his reactions and the meaning behind them. Did his vacant eyes mean he didn’t really want this to end, or did they mean there was simply nothing left, no emotion, nothing?
Jenny had often recalled before today how wrong this relationship was. How could she have done this to one of the closest people to her? She always knew in the back of her mind that this wasn’t for keeps, but had unintentionally allowed her feelings to be involved. It was a spiral she couldn’t stop.
However, at this present moment it was all too real. The time had come, the moment she had expected, but dreaded so much. This man stood before her was Michael. He was a handsome man, with sharp features adorning a slim line figure with clothes that accentuated every inch of his athletic frame. The hair on his temples was tinged with silver, adding to the intense attraction that jenny felt for him.
Michael was a salesman for a national organisation that specialised in selling high end jewellery, and many said he was made for the role. His gift of persuasive language and the charm quality of a king made him desirable to all, and the worst things was, he used it to his advantage. The wedding ring he wore meant as much to him as a kettle made of ice, as he himself admitted.
Michael lowered his left hand to Jenny’s, as if to help her off the floor. Jenny resisted, and slammed her clenched fist onto the floor as pure anger ran through her veins. Michael jumped back, bewildered that Jenny should show any sign of self-defence against him.
‘I have nothing…nothing to lose, Michael. I will end this façade, I will make sure you…’ Jenny snapped.
Michael interrupted ‘You have served your purpose for me Jennings, each threat you make to me makes me despise you even more, as if I would ever stay with anyone like YOU!’.
